How Batch Manufacturing Works
RevoFi devices are produced in manufacturing runs called batches. Understanding how this works helps you know what to expect from your order.
Why We Manufacture in Batches
RevoFi devices are custom-engineered hardware systems — not off-the-shelf products. Each unit combines a configurable compute module, dual-band WiFi 6 radios, a proprietary carrier board, and (in the case of the Link Pro) a 5G cellular module. Manufacturing these devices is a precision process that requires committing to a production run at scale.
⚖
Economies of Scale
Component procurement, tooling, and quality control are all substantially more economical at volume. Batch production of 1,000+ units reduces per-unit cost while allowing factory resources to be dedicated to a single production configuration.
📦
Minimum Order Quantities
RevoFi’s suppliers — including NVIDIA (compute modules), AsiaRF (WiFi radio cards), and Telit (5G modules) — require minimum purchase commitments. We cannot source a single unit of each component. Production runs are planned around these supplier minimums.
🛡
Quality Control
A production batch is tested as a unit — firmware loaded uniformly, hardware validated against a single spec sheet, and shipment coordinated as a single factory release. This ensures that every device in your batch meets the same standard.
How a Batch Works
Each batch has a target capacity of 1,000 devices. Orders from the RevoFi shop and from channel partners are assigned to the current open batch. When the batch fills, it locks for manufacturing. Every order follows the same path through our manufacturing process.
The Batch Lifecycle
Note: Batch statuses only move forward. A locked batch cannot be reopened. A batch currently listed as “Filling” means it has passed 50% capacity — it remains open and accepting orders until it locks.
How to Order
1
Browse the shop
Choose your model (RevoFi Link or Link Pro), power plug type, and storage tier.
2
Complete checkout
Create an account and complete payment. Your order is confirmed immediately and assigned an order number.
3
Batch assignment
Your order is automatically placed into the current open manufacturing batch. You will see your batch number in the Batch Tracker.
4
Monitor your batch
Track your batch at any time on the Batch Tracker. Enter your order number to see your specific batch and its current status.
5
Fulfillment
Once your batch ships, your order is fulfilled and shipped to your delivery address via FedEx.
Your order number is permanent. It is assigned at checkout and never changes. You can always look up your batch using it on the Batch Tracker.
Refunds and the Batch Lock Window
Before your batch locks
You can request a full refund at any time before your batch is locked. Visit My Account → Orders and select Request a Refund, or contact [email protected]. When you refund before lock, your slot in the batch is released.
When a batch locks
When a batch moves to Locked, the production run has been committed to the factory. Components are on order and assembly is scheduled. At this point, we cannot return a unit to inventory, and refund eligibility ends.
After lock
Orders are not eligible for standard refunds after batch lock. In cases of manufacturing defects or fulfillment failures, our support team will review each case individually. For all support inquiries, contact [email protected].
How to know when your batch locks
Monitor your batch status on the Batch Tracker. When the status changes from Filling to Locked, the refund window has closed. We recommend checking your batch status before the Filling stage if you are considering a refund.
See our full refund policy for complete terms.
